The COVID-19 pandemic left many people at home for months at a time—and while COVID-related restrictions are being lifted across the country, many people are still choosing to spend the majority of their time at home.
And with so much time at home, many are tackling home improvement projects to spruce up their space.
A recent survey from home remodeling website Porch found that 76 percent of homeowners have tackled at least one home improvement project since the pandemic began. Some of the most popular home improvement projects include:
- Work on the garden, patio, or renovating the home’s exterior structure (61 percent)
- Indoor renovations, including repainting walls, installing new flooring, or renovating bathrooms (58 percent)
- Introducing tech upgrades (44 percent)
So, what does this mean for you? Home improvement projects can increase the value of your home—so if you’ve been spending your at-home time tackling projects around the house, it could help you fetch top dollar if and when you’re ready to sell.
